Biography
Sinéad works as a conductor, piano teacher, accompanist and musicianship tutor at WIT. She is a musical director of the WIT Music School’s renowned choral music programme - working with the Waterford Larks - and is also accompanist of the WIT Youth Choir.
Sinéad completed her BA Mus at Waterford Institute of Technology, majoring in Piano performance. She furthered her studies into music education at the Kodály Pedagogical Institute in Hungary and the University of Reading.
In 2009 Sinéad worked as assistant director of ‘Children’s Voices of Ireland’, a cross-border, cross-community youth choir based in Belfast. In 2010 she was awarded the Conductor in Training position with the National Chamber Choir and the Irish Youth Choir. In 2011 & 2012 she worked as an accompanist for the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain. Sinéad was also the assistant director and accompanist of the Waterford Male Voice Choir from 2001-2012.
A keen chorister, Sinéad has been a member of the Irish Youth Choir and also local groups including Ad Hoc Chorale and Voci. Sinéad is much in demand in the Waterford area as an accompanist for soloists and choirs for concerts, exams and competition performances.
