Dr Sara Kennedy

I enjoy teaching and have taught students in Nursing, Health Sciences as well as a range of health related subjects to other students in Criminal Justice and Health and Exercise Programmes.

I have been Programme Leader for Mangament Programmes at level 8 and level 9.  

I have been Module Leader for a number of modules over many years 

I have developed and been part of curriculum review groups for many programmes

I have assisted in new programme development and review committees

My interest areas in research include

-Empowerment

-Management and Culture in organisations

-Leadership and Management

-Nursing Student clinical assessment

I have supervised students at MSc and PhD level across a wide variety of areas including Public Health, Childrens Nursing and Acute Care.

I have developed and taught on many different programmes at levels 6 to 9 in WIT

I have been involved in Quality Assurance and Programme development committees.

I am a member of Sigma Thea Thou, NMBI other national advisory boards for Nursing Education

Internationally, I have developed many relationships with colleagues specifically in the Golisano Foundation, University of Rochester, Middle Georgia State University and Madison Technical College

I have developed and run many international Summer Schools in Health Care .

I maintain professional intersts through membership of many committees and groups at local and national level.
