Biography

Claire graduated from WIT with a BA Hon (Mus) in 1996 having studied Piano and Flute.  She has been teaching since 1993.  Claire has worked in WIT since 2001 and has taught piano (both individually and in groups) theory, and also works with the WIT Choral programme.

Claire also works in a number of schools throughout Carlow opening a music school in Carlow in 2012, and over the years has taught piano, flute, theory, musicanship, recorder in the classroom, and conducted school choirs and orchestras, as well as teaching the Leaving cert and Junior cert courses.

Claire prepares her students for Royal Irish Academy of Music and Associated Board music exams as well as preparing them for concerts, and competitions.

In her free time she also enjoys playing flute with the Carlow / Kilkenny Orchestra.
