Biography
Upon obtaining a B.Sc. (Hons) in Microbiology at NUI, Galway Audrey completed her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). Her Ph.D. studies involved the cloning and expression of the cyanide hydratase gene into yeast with a view to assessing its potential for the bioremediation of cyanide.
Audrey is the programme leader for the BSc in Applied Biology at WIT. Audrey is also a member of the WIT Student Disciplinary Committee.
As a Biology lecturer in the Department of Science Audrey is currently involved in the delivery, assessment and co-ordination of the following modules:
Microbiology 1 (level 6) - module co-ordinator
Food Microbiology (level 6) - module co-ordinator
Biopharmaceutical Science (level 6) - module co-ordinator
Fundamentals of Biology (level 6) - module co-ordinator
Environmental Science (level 6)
Chromatographic Techniques (level 6)
Introduction to Dairy Science (level 6)
