Students now have the opportunity to truly experience what it is to be a student on South East Technological University’s Wexford campus.

For the first time ever, the university campus is running Try Wexford on Thursday, 20 April which will allow students to explore all the new university campus has to offer and find out more about their chosen course ahead of the CAO closing on 1 July.

Booking is now open at www.setu.ie/trywexford for school leavers and mature students to sign up to attend one of seven “Try Wexford” events including Applied Social Studies in Professional Social Care; Early Childhood Education & Practice; Sustainable Farm Management & Agribusiness/Organic Agriculture/Agricultural Systems Engineering; Business and Digital Marketing; Visual Communications and Design; Tourism and Event Management and Art.

Katie Murphy, Education Liaison Officer on SETU’s Wexford campus is feeling excited about the event saying “We have planned a series of interactive activities so prospective students will get a real feel for the course they wish to study and gain an insight into student life on our Wexford campus.

“Our current students will be on hand to talk about their experiences and answer any questions students may have about their course and student life. Our Access Officer, Grants & Fees Officer and Senior librarian will be here also to give information about their services and answer questions and concerns. The day promises to be fun, informative and insightful.”

There is a limited number of places so early booking is recommended. The €10 registration fee includes a light lunch and an SETU t-shirt. Booking now open at www.setu.ie/trywexford.

SETU Wexford offers a warm and welcoming environment, small class sizes which allow for increased support and attention. Programmes have strong links with industry and most have a built-in placement or work integrated learning and staff are on hand to help with queries or concerns.
