South East Technological University (SETU) hosted its inaugural TRY event on its Summerhill Road and Hill Street campuses in Wexford. The aim of this event was to provide prospective students with the opportunity to experience courses they are interested in and to learn about the student life on offer from SETU.

Full time courses on offer at SETU’s campus in Wexford include Applied Social Studies in Professional Social Care, Early Childhood Education and Practice, Business, Digital Marketing, Tourism and Event Management, Visual Communications and Design, Art, Sustainable Farm Management and Agribusiness, Organic Agriculture and Agricultural Systems Engineering among others. This offering is developed and delivered by SETU’s expert academic team and our experienced student support staff who can guide prospective students on everything to admissions information and accommodation, to student life and career development.

At the event, attendees engaged with a variety of interactive activities and, after speaking to the SETU team about their programmes of interest, gathered over lunch to listen to talks from Wexford campus’ access officer, fees and grants officer and its senior librarian who all provided key information on applications and enrolments. Those attending the event came from a variety of backgrounds including students from local secondary schools, as well as those engaged in courses with further education and training centres.
