If you’re looking for an educational challenge that will transform your career and the organisation you work for, an Executive MBA may be for you

When it comes to finding a part-time postgraduate programme that turns heads, the MBA is traditionally one of those qualifications that piques hiring managers’ attention.

It’s no surprise that SETU's highly regarded School of Business runs a popular part-time Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme.

We have put together five reasons to do the Executive MBA at SETU.

The student experience

According to the many MBA students who have shared their stories on our student stories section: learning from peers, the class spirit, the value of the network of like-minded individuals was a highlight which added to the quality of the lecturing and learning outcomes from modules.

Practitioner seminars

Live seminars led by experienced practitioners has been long established as a core feature of the Executive MBA course programme in the School of Business. Recent talks have featured high calibre Irish and international academics and practitioners so that students can interact with those who have achieved distinction in their field and have a story to tell. Many of these are hosted in collaboration with the MBA Association of Ireland of which SETU's School of Business is a member.

International study programme

As part of a bi-annual study trip to Boston, students visit leading US companies and participate in a week-long residential at our partner university, Boston University. The international study programme has been designed to expose executives to best international practices in management education, practice and learning.

Competition success

SETU MBA students won the MBA Association of Ireland All-Ireland Strategy Case Competition three times in five years. The competition is open to all MBA programmes across Ireland, and provides students from the top MBA programmes in Ireland with the opportunity to solve a real-world strategy case problem.

Scholarships for Gaelic players

The Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme is one of the eligible programmes for scholarship open to members of the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) and Women’s Gaelic Players Association (WGPA). These scholarships give athletes the opportunity to enhance their career prospects in tandem with maintaining their elite sporting pursuit.
