Céad Seans, an exciting array of imaginative short dramas and documentaries from the Higher Diploma in Television and Media Production is now featuring on the TG4 Player.

The Higher Diploma in Television and Media Production is based at Nemeton TV, one of Ireland’s leading production companies in Gaeltacht na nDéise, the widely regarded course is accredited by South East Technological University (SETU) and supported by Údarás na Gaeltachta.


Amongst the many award-winning documentaries and dramas is County Waterford filmmaker and photographer John Foley’s  intriguing Díoltas. The film is based on the brutal kidnapping, imprisonment and eventual execution of RIC District Inspector Gilbert Potter by the IRA in 1921 during the War of Independence. Another unique historical documentary is Martina Flavin’s Capaill agus Caráiste which tells the story of the sport of carriage driving. It features masterful carriage driver Paddy Hanley and rare archival material.

Na Cruacha

Well known fiddler Iarfhlaith Ó Domhnall takes us on a delightful musical journey through the stunning Blue Stack Mountains of his native South West Donegal. In this once vibrant Gaeltacht of Na Cruacha, Iarfhlaith finds traces of a rich music, song and storytelling culture.

Comhlint Chroí

In her short drama Comhlint Chroí, writer and director Fiona Ní Chiadhra from County Meath explores the dilemmas of online dating. University student Ríona (played by brilliant newcomer Meg Ní Riain) is juggling work and study when a past online encounter comes back to haunt her.

Course starting this September

There is now an innovative new blend of practical workshops and online classes delivered through block release, uniquely tailored to the needs of students and those who wish to develop their skills while working. The course featured in the Irish Times Spotlight on Postgraduate Options and for anyone interested in getting that vital start to working in the television and media industries. It commences again in September 2022.
