What is SETU's P2P Peer Mentoring Programme?

P2P is a Peer Mentoring programme available across several courses in SETU which is designed to help new students transition to college life. Trained students from Year 2 and above act as mentors, meeting first year students regularly and providing advice about college supports, services and procedures. Mentors help new students to get to know one another and make connections, as well as sharing insights about their course and other student-related tips.

Examples of the supports that mentors provide include:

  • Welcoming new students to the college at SETU Orientation
  • Helping students find their way around the campus
  • Advising students on available supports and answering any queries they may have, whether about clubs/societies, Student Union events or module selection and exams.
