Programme Overview

The BSc in Applied Health Care is a ground-breaking three-year programme—the first of its kind in Ireland—designed to help students understand the diverse healthcare needs of individuals across the human lifespan. Delivered in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art learning environment, the degree uses the holistic KSVSE framework (Knowledge, Science, Values and Attitudes, Skills, and Experience) to prepare graduates for direct care delivery, health research, and modern digital healthcare models.

Practical Learning & Clinical Placement

Clinical experience is an essential core element of the degree. Students complete clinical placements in each year of the course across a wide variety of healthcare settings throughout the South East region. These ongoing placements allow students to continually bridge theory and practice, developing real-world clinical confidence, communication skills, and practical competence in real healthcare environments.
