Programme Overview
The Honours Bachelor Degree in Business and Law is a four-year Level 8 programme structured around three core themes: Business, Law, and Transferable Skills (Research & Communications, IT, Mathematics, and Teamwork). Designed to reflect the close alignment of commercial enterprise and legal frameworks in both the public and private sectors, the course equips students to navigate complex corporate regulations, international trade policies, and evolving business practices.
Practical Learning & Work Placement
A key feature of the programme is a dedicated work placement in Year 3 (Semester 2), giving students direct hands-on experience in a professional legal or commercial setting. Built for maximum academic and career flexibility, the course offers embedded exit awards—a Higher Certificate in Business and Law (NFQ Level 6) after Year 2 and an Ordinary Degree in Business and Law (NFQ Level 7) after Year 3. Students also have the option to transfer after Year 2 into specialized Honours degree pathways across Business, Law (LLB), or Accounting.
