Reflecting on his achievements, Mateusz shared, “The lecturers at SETU were highly knowledgeable and supportive, always ensuring every student progressed and often sharing expertise beyond the curriculum. Winning the competition was a proud moment and welcome recognition of the hard work I have invested in developing my skills. More importantly, I see it as the beginning of a new chapter, motivating me to continue growing my career and striving for further success in the trade.”

Support from SETU staff

Participation in WorldSkills goes far beyond competition. It gives our apprentices the opportunity to test their skills, broaden their experience and grow in confidence. Collaborating with their peers and learning from experts across a range of disciplines is hugely valuable, strengthening both their personal and professional development. As the needs of industry continue to evolve, opportunities such as WorldSkills play an important role in ensuring our apprentices develop the skills, confidence and adaptability needed to succeed in their chosen careers.
