An apprenticeship is a training course that gives students the opportunity to earn a salary as an employee while gaining valuable knowledge and skills in a chosen field.

Training is both on-the-job and in a third level setting, combining both practical skills and theory based knowledge for a qualification which is on the National Framework of Qualifications and is recognised internationally.
