Biography
I have been a lecturer at Waterford Institute of Technology since 2001 in both Higher Diploma and undergraduate levels. I have been programme leaders on the Higher Diploma in Science in Applied Computing and Higher Diploma in in Computing (Applied Computing) Springboard programmes, and Industry Partnered Programmes. I have taught in the School of Science based in the Department of Computing Maths and Physics, while also teaching for the Department of Chemical and Life Sciences within our school along with School of Life Long Learning and the School of Business in the Institute.
I obtained an ordinary degree in Commercial Computing in 1999, followed by an honours degree in Commercial Software Development in 2000, both at WIT.

- HCI (Human Computer Interaction/Interfacing)
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Education focusing on Adult learners and Assessment for learning techniques within third level institutes in Ireland.

I am also involved with programme design on a regular basis including the development of learning objectives, assessment criteria, and teaching methods and materials.
I continue to engage with appropriate courses within the college for my professional development such as where possible implementing skills acquired through research and practice, such as problem based solving, collaborative and cooperative learning techniques .
I attend conferences and workshops from time to time that I find invaluable from the following:
