Biography
I completed my PhD at the Dermatology and Allergology, University of Szeged, Hungary. My PhD research focused on the UVB- and plasma radiation-induced cellular responses of human keratinocytes.
In 2016, I relocated to Ireland to undertake a Research Assistant, then a Research Fellow position in the Renal Inflammation Group at Trinity College Dublin where I was involved in multiple projects, particularly in dissecting the pathogenesis of anti-PR3 vasculitis using humanised mice.
In 2017, I received a Postdoctoral Fellowship under the Enterprise IRC Partnership Scheme (Regenerative Medicine Institute & Orbsen Therapeutics Ltd) to study the therapeutic potential of mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) in a common, severe sepsis-associated renal disease [acute kidney injury (AKI)]. In 2019, I joined the Molecular Parasitology Laboratory and focused on the use of parasite-designed molecules for the treatment of sepsis and its common complication, AKI. In 2022, I joined SETU Waterford as an Assistent Lecturer in Biology and Biopharmaceutical Science.
