The School of Business at the SETU Waterford campus were delighted to welcome the CEO of Waystone along with members of its senior management team to present to the business postgraduate students as part of the module, Contemporary Issues in Business.
Designed to bring theory to life, Contemporary Issues in Business incorporates seminars from senior industry leaders which provide insights into key issues influencing businesses and managerial thinking enabling students to explore their comprehension of issues in an interactive setting. In addition, the career journeys of speakers also feature as an interesting part of such presentations.
On Friday 11 November, students from across the Masters in Business streams (Economics and Finance, HR, Management, Marketing, International Business and Finance and Data Analytics) gleaned excellent insights into origins and growth of Waystone and of the career paths of its senior managers, most of whom are graduates of SETU. Speaking eloquently of their time in Waterford, the evidence of hard work, ambition, team camaraderie and sense of enjoyment from working in Waystone was vividly portrayed by the managers to the future leaders of tomorrow.
