Try Physics is a half-day event comprising talks, demos and a practical lab designed to showcase the various elements that are part of physics as a subject and the BSc (Hons) in Physics for Modern Technology programme at SETU.
At our Try Physics event, you will engage in hands-on activities in areas such as mechanics, light and sound that will demonstrate important physical principles and their use in modern technology. In addition, you will learn about the Big Bang, how to understand and access real IBM Quantum Computers, and have various cryogenic effects demonstrated such as super-conductivity. A lab practical will allow you to turn your mobile phone into a physics lab and you will also gain an appreciation of the wide variety of career options that are available to physics graduates.

Try Physics is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in the world of science. At last year's event, 100% of attendees said they would recommend Try Physics to a friend. Because of the practical nature of some elements of the event, there are a limited number of spaces available, so book today to ensure you don't miss out.
