The 2022 Postgraduate Research Conference will take place Friday 6 May in the Auditorium, at the Cork Road Campus, South East Technological University (SETU) Waterford.
This event, organised by Waterford's Research Postgraduate Forum and Graduate Studies Office, celebrates research postgraduate work across SETU Waterford and Carlow campuses.
The conference is aimed at early-stage research postgraduates and is an exciting opportunity for students to share their research, network within the postgraduate community and gain valuable experience.
This year’s theme is 'A Brave New World, Collaboration and Innovation in Postgraduate Research', has been chosen to celebrate the range of incredible research opportunities within the new South East Technological University.
Keynote speaker on the day, Prof John Breslin, will speak on the topic of 'Teaching Researchers and Innovators How to Create Start-ups'. Prof Breslin is an award-winning and highly cited senior lecturer in Engineering and Informatics at National University of Ireland Galway, and has been involved in a number of multi-discipline enterprises.
The programme for the day also features posters, presentations, and performances from across a range of disciplines and research areas.
Registration for the event is free and open to all research postgraduate students and staff across SETU. This will be one of the first postgraduate events happening in SETU in May and will be a fun and engaging event for all.
