South East Technological University (SETU) Governing Body has established an Audit and Risk Committee as a committee of the Governing Body to support them in their responsibilities regarding governance in respect of audit, risk and compliance. The Governing Body has appointed Mr Jim Bergin, deputy Governing Body Chair to be the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. The members of the Audit & Risk Committee are:

Commercialisation Committee

The Commercialisation Committee is a sub-committee of the Finance Capital and Investment Committee (FCIC) which in turn is a Committee of the Governing Body. The Governing Body has appointed Ms Louise Grubb to be the Chair of the Commercialisation Committee.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee

South East Technological University (SETU) Governing Body has established an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Governing Body from which it derives its authority and to which it regularly reports. The purpose of the committee is to assist and advise the Governing Body in the performance of its functions by providing governance and oversight which will achieved by reviewing reports and assurances received from the President and the SETU Executive Management Team. The committee will also provide guidance and direction on policy matters associated the achievement of EDI objectives across the university. The Governing Body has appointed Ms Ruth Beadle to be the Chair of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Finance & Capital Investment Committee

South East Technological University (SETU) Governing Body has established a Finance & Capital Investment Committee of the Governing Body from which it derives its authority and to which it regularly reports. The purpose of the committee is to assist and advise the Governing Body in the performance of its functions by oversight of the statutory financial statements, financial planning regarding capital projects, and financial management of the university. The members of the Finance & Capital Investment Committee are:

Nominations Committee

As prescribed in the Technological Universities Act 2018 South East Technological University (SETU) Governing Body has established a committee to be known as the Nominations Committee. The Committee is established for the purpose of selection and appointment of external members to the SETU Governing Body and to oversee the election of staff members and student members. The members of the Nominations Committee are:

SETU Governing Body has agreed that the SETU President, Prof Veronica Campbell, while not a member of the Nominations Committee, shall be in attendance at committee meetings.

Policy Committee

The Policy Committee is a committee of the Governing Body to support them in their responsibilities with regard to governance in respect of University policies. The Governing Body recognise the important role that policies play in representing the official position of the University on any aspect of its activities and is committed to a transparent, inclusive and collaborative process to develop and review policies.

University Joint Quality Committee

The University Joint Quality Committee will be responsible for ensuring the overall Quality of the University based upon reviews of aggregated data and other information and through its interaction with relevant University bodies arising from reviews. The Governing Body has appointed Ms Pauline Oakes to be the Chair of the Joint Quality Committee.
